Launch of Helen’s Bakehouse and Tearoom

Project: Launch of Helen’s Bakehouse and Tearoom

Client: Helen’s Bakehouse and Tearoom

“The support and expertise provided by FCM Associates has been invaluable to me whilst launching my first bakehouse venue.   The team has brought a wealth of ideas to the table and created a fantastic buzz around my business.”

Helen Wheat, Owner of Helen’s Bakehouse and Tearoom

The Brief

FCM Associates was appointed to market and promote the launch of this new vintage styled bakery and tearoom located in the market town of Burton upon Trent.  Its unique selling point is an open plan kitchen where customers can see and more importantly smell traditional baking taking place.

Plan of Action

Working closely with the owner, FCM Associates created a targeted marketing and PR campaign to attract media interest prior to its opening, hold an exciting official launch event and create a social media buzz and continued exposure around the launch.

The Results

Helen’s Bakehouse and Tearoom has become a destination food venue in the town offering a unique product, service and experience.

Key messages and press materials were developed for the launch and FCM Associates secured news coverage in The Burton Mail, BBC Radio Derby, Derby Evening Telegraph and a double page spread and photo shoot in leading monthly magazine Staffordshire Life.

FCM Associates arranged for The Mayor of East Staffordshire to officially open the venue on Valentine’s Day which attracted a huge crowd of well wishers invited with a personalised invitation.

Particular attention was given to online media and in addition to ensuring the venue appeared on local what’s on websites, a Facebook and Twitter site were launched for the venue.

FCM Associates also helped developed the branding and materials for venue as well as help to source tried and tested suppliers for design and print.

We are delighted to continue working with Helen’s Bakehouse and Tearoom as its PR and Marketing provider.
